Private Obedience Training

- Basic and Advanced Lesson Package: Eight private lessons. The first four cover basic obedience, while the remaining lessons introduce advanced obedience and greater distance work. Advanced skills may include heel, watch, through, front, stand, focused heel, touch, leave it, and load-up.
- Basic Marker Mastery™: Four one-hour sessions using reward-based methods. The program introduces come, sit, place, and loose-leash walking and includes a clicker, slip lead, and 15-foot leash.

Board & Train Programs
Board & Train programs provide immersive training while the dog boards with a professional trainer.
- 1 Week Board & Train: Covers off-leash recall, place, sit, selected household manners, and recall around distractions. It includes an owner session and lifetime refresher support. Dogs with aggression or reactivity are not accepted.
- 2 Week Board & Train: Covers sit, place, heel, down, recall, off, household manners, and work around distractions in multiple environments. It includes an owner session and lifetime refresher support. Dogs with human aggression or severe dog reactivity are not accepted.
- 3 Week Show-Off Program: Includes the 2 Week Board & Train curriculum plus one selected advanced command, such as down at a distance, come to heel, sit in motion, or puppy push-ups.
- 2 Week Board & Train With Head Trainer: Includes the 2 Week Board & Train commands, scheduling with the head trainer, an e-collar, and an extended owner session.
Owners should disclose aggression, reactivity, and bite history before enrollment.
Stay & Train Programs
Stay & Train provides daytime professional training while allowing the dog to return home each evening.
- 6-Day Stay & Train: Covers recall, place, off, door manners, and food manners.
- 10-Day Stay & Train: Covers recall, place, off, on-leash heel, and down.
- 15-Day Stay & Train: Covers recall, place, off, down, and heel both on and off leash.

Aggression and Reactivity Training
Dogs showing aggression or reactivity require careful program selection and realistic expectations.
- Four-Lesson Dog Aggression Training: Covers recall, sit, extended sit, heel, and down. The program provides one-on-one attention and includes an e-collar.
- Eight-Lesson Dog Aggression Training: Intended for dogs with aggression or reactivity around other dogs. It includes additional distraction training, command proofing, owner handling work, and desensitization.
Dog Aggression Training is intended to give owners better handling tools and strategies for managing difficult behavior. Aggression outcomes are not guaranteed, and no training program can promise that aggression will be permanently eliminated.
Additional Training Options
- Puppy Training Consultation: A one-hour consultation that introduces basic obedience and household routines. Published topics include house training and answers to puppy-training questions.
- Therapy Dog Preparation: An eight-lesson program that prepares dogs and handlers for therapy-dog testing. Enrollment or program completion does not make certification automatic.

Step 3: Maintain the Training
Board & Train programs conclude with a one-on-one owner session covering the dog’s commands and proper handling. Private-lesson owners participate during training and practice between appointments. Follow-up support varies by program.

Portland and surrounding areas: Trish brings a lot of dog training experience to Portland, Oregon! Trish spent twelve years of active duty in the United States Air Force, ten as a military working dog handler which included six different duty stations and two deployments. While at her home station, her and her (K9) partner would often times provide local law enforcement with back-up, supervise subordinates, and even assisted in Presidential event sweeps along with the US Secret Service. In her ten years of service, she had the opportunity to work with hundreds of different dogs.
Trish is excited to bring her wealth of knowledge and experience to the Portland, Oregon area! She is very experienced in training dogs for basic and advanced obedience, detection work, as well as dealing with behavioral modification, puppy training, and aggression and/or reactivity cases.
She is excited to give owners the same level of training, discipline, and obedience as the military working dogs she had worked for ten years; regardless of their age, size, or breed!
