Private Obedience Lessons

Basic Obedience Starter
This single introductory lesson introduces you and your dog to e-collar communication. Published commands include come, sit, and break. Training equipment is included as described by the current program.

Basic Obedience Lessons
Basic Obedience Lessons consist of four private sessions. Published skills include come, sit, extended sit, break, down, extended down, place, extended place, out, loose-leash walking or heel, and off.
Owner participation allows you to practice the handling and communication used during the lessons.
Basic and Advanced Lesson Package
The Basic and Advanced Lesson Package includes eight private lessons. The first four cover the Basic Obedience curriculum, while the final four introduce Advanced Obedience.
Published advanced examples include extended-distance obedience, heel, watch, through, front, stand, and additional advanced commands.
Basic Marker Mastery™
Basic Marker Mastery™ consists of four one-hour sessions using reward-based training methods. The published curriculum introduces come, sit, place, the OLK9 slip lead, and loose-leash walking.
A 15-foot leash, clicker, and slip lead are included.

Board & Train Programs
Board & Train programs provide immersive training in which the dog boards with a professional trainer. Published options range from one to three weeks.
Current options include:
- 1-Week Board & Train: Includes full off-leash recall, place, sit, training around multiple distractions and environments, greeting manners, door manners, and meal manners.
- 2-Week Board & Train: Includes sit, place, on- and off-leash heel, down, recall, off, multiple distractions and environments, greeting manners, door manners, and meal manners.
- 3-Week Show-Off Program: Includes the 2-Week Board & Train curriculum plus one selected advanced command, such as down at a distance, come to heel, sit in motion, or puppy push-ups.
- 2-Week Board & Train With Head Trainer: Includes the 2-Week Board & Train curriculum through the Head Trainer option.
Board & Train programs include an owner handoff session after training and published lifetime refresher support.
Eligibility: Restrictions vary by program. The 1-Week Board & Train does not accept dogs with aggression or reactivity. The 2-Week Board & Train does not accept dogs with human aggression or severe dog reactivity.

Stay & Train
Stay & Train programs provide daytime professional training while your dog returns home every evening.
Current options include:

- 15-Day Stay & Train: Recall, place, off, heel on and off leash, and down
Each current Stay & Train package includes an e-collar and training leash as described in the published program. Curriculum varies by duration, and the current packages list a lifetime warranty for the skills included within the selected option.
Specialized Training Services
Puppy Training Consultation
The Puppy Training Consultation is intended for dogs under five months old.
This one-hour consultation provides foundational puppy guidance and may cover introductory obedience, house training, and questions about your puppy and early training.
This is a consultation rather than a multi-week training program.
Dog Aggression Training
Two private Dog Aggression Training formats are currently published.
- Four-Lesson Dog Aggression Training: Includes one-on-one training focused on selecting an appropriate training tool and working on recall, sit, extended sit, heel, and down.
- Eight-Lesson Dog Aggression Training: Intended specifically for dogs with aggression or reactivity around other dogs. It includes the Dog Aggression package plus additional distraction training, command proofing, and desensitization.

Therapy Dog Preparation
Therapy Dog Preparation includes eight lessons designed to prepare a dog and owner for therapy-dog testing and certification.

Meet Trish!
Portland and surrounding areas: Trish brings a lot of dog training experience to Portland, Oregon! Trish spent twelve years of active duty in the United States Air Force, ten as a military working dog handler which included six different duty stations and two deployments. While at her home station, her and her (K9) partner would often times provide local law enforcement with back-up, supervise subordinates, and even assisted in Presidential event sweeps along with the US Secret Service. In her ten years of service, she had the opportunity to work with hundreds of different dogs.
Trish is excited to bring her wealth of knowledge and experience to the Portland, Oregon area! She is very experienced in training dogs for basic and advanced obedience, detection work, as well as dealing with behavioral modification, puppy training, and aggression and/or reactivity cases.
She is excited to give owners the same level of training, discipline, and obedience as the military working dogs she had worked for ten years; regardless of their age, size, or breed!
Trish is the proud owner of a two American bulldogs, Max and Sammy.
